Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. In response to COVID-19, you will see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these enhancements to help protect our patients and staff. In addition to the new equipment, we have scheduled extra time between patients to deep clean and disinfect each operatory and allow the air purification system a chance to complete a cycle and filter all the air in the room.
CDC Mandated Protocol For Your Upcoming Visit:
Wear A Mask To The Office: When you visit our office, you must wear a mask. You must keep that mask on at all times unless asked by the staff to remove it for dental procedures.
Patients should enter the office by themselves: Exceptions will be made for a guardian or caretaker. Everyone else must wait outside of the office.
Answer Our Screening Questions: Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. Review The Pre-Visit and Appointment Day Screening Questions
Get Your Temperature Checked: We will take your temperature immediately upon arrival using a non-contact infrared thermometer.
Follow Sanitary and Social Distancing Procedures: We have hand sanitizer in the reception area that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. There will be tape guidelines in the waiting room to help patients maintain social distancing. You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines. They are difficult to clean and disinfect.
Respect Rest Room Protocols: Please ask the staff if you need to use the rest room. Please do not brush your teeth in the rest room.
Book Your Appointment In Advance: Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
